My PC finally gave up on me :Þ could not start it up for it keeps rebooting once windows load... no amount of optional startup could help :(
So, a massive hunt for my WinXP installer CD was underway... where are they when you REALLY need them... sigh~
Spent 2 hours installing and finally i am back into windows... happy happy... but....... All my programs are... ALL MY PROGRAMS NO LONGER WORKING!!! aaaarghh... They are still there but no longer working due to registry overwrites...

I then eye my collection of unlabeled CDRs (The bold s refers to like 20 CDs) with all the needed installers i have collected and installed on my pc... Need to label my disc from now on... lol... Spend half day searching and reinstalling back all my critical programs... Zone Alarm, Antivirus, Silent Storm: Sentinels Game ;)
Good News is... My system seems faster now after reinstall... most probably due to the removal of WinXP SP1 during reinstall... :Þ And i have dropped Norton AV for AVG AV. No more slow startup for me...
And hey, my www.gamefaqs.com is finally loading pictures :) hahaha... Please be warn about those privacy blockers software.. they will screw up your system upon uninstall :Þ

Giants Found
Recent gas exploration activity in the south east region of the Arabian desert uncovered a skeletal remains of a human of phenomenal size. This region of the Arabian desert is called the Empty Quarter, or in Arabic, 'Rab-Ul-Khalee'. The discovery was made by the Aramco Exploration team. As God states in the Quran that He had created people of phenomenal size the like of which He has not created since. These were the people of Aad where Prophet Hud was sent. They were very tall, big, and very powerful, such that they could put their arms around a tree trunk and uproot it. Later these people, who were given all the power, turned against God and the Prophet and transgressed beyond all boundaries set by God. As a result they were destroyed.
Ulema's of Saudi Arabia believe these to be the remains of the people of Aad. Saudi Military has secured the whole area and no one is allowed to enter except the ARAMCO personnel. It has been kept in secrecy, but a military helicopter took some pictures from the air and one of the pictures leaked out into the internet in Saudi Arabia. Note the size of the two men standing in the picture in comparison to the size of the skeleton!!

Was cleaning up my friends' highly ad-ware, spyware and wateverware pc remotely today. He has been complaining slow pc performance and slow broadband.. lol... there were actually 80 processes running in the background!, 25 startup registry entries and a whole major load of spywares attached to his surfing experience...
Here are some of the stuffs used, done... i would have rather format his pc! but he has this load of treasured stuffs in it... :P Managed to get his PC back into shape... there are still a few stubborn programs running and i have no way of deleting it due to access denied and also for the fact that i am connnecting to his PC remotely :)
- Search & Destroy - Detects and removes adware files and modules from your computer
- WinTasks - A reference site to cross reference the running processes in your system
- Remove suspected program from the startup - Browse to this registry branch HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Microsoft -> Windows -> CurrentVersion -> Run

My poor neck...
Ouch... i think i sprained my neck somehow by watching too much Naruto... lol... 45 episodes in 2 days!! that is an average of 22 minutes per episode, which equates to ((22 x 45)/ 60) a staggerring she gui of 16.5 hours... lol... must take some time off... arrghh...
Anyway... my right click context menu is really starting to bug me with slow load time so i did some search and come to find this nice XP Tweak tool... wonder why Microsoft did not include it in there OS in the first place, since it has been available since win95... TweakUI
Edit: Dont mess with the shorcut icon display in TweakUI. It will mess up your icons and turn them into ugly 256 colour icons like mine
To remedy that you can
- Run Regedit, and go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics
- Change the value of 'Shell Icon BPP' to 16
- Close Regedit and restart your computer. The icons will now be hi-colour ;)
